Surat: The Kashiba Haribhai Goti Charitable Trust of Surat has pledged to build 1,008 education buildings in remote, hilly and interior villages across every state of India. It began when trust president Keshubhai Goti, inspired by Vinoba Bhave, built a girls' hostel at his own cost at an ashram school in Bedkuvadur village of Tapi district. Friends joined, the pledge of 11 buildings grew to 351, and the trust paid half of each, yet not one carries its name: every building is named after the donor who paid the other half. A 50-member volunteer group surveys far-flung villages, builds where students struggle, and hands the building to the local institution to run.
સુરત: સુરતનું કાશીબા હરિભાઈ ગોટી ચેરીટેબલ ટ્રસ્ટ દેશના તમામ રાજ્યોના દુર્ગમ, પહાડી અને અંતરિયાળ વિસ્તારોમાં 1,008 શૈક્ષણિક ભવન બનાવશે. વિનોબા ભાવેના વિચારોથી પ્રેરાઈ ટ્રસ્ટના પ્રમુખ કેશુભાઈ ગોટીએ સ્વખર્ચે તાપી જિલ્લાના બેડકુવાદૂર ગામની આશ્રમશાળામાં કન્યા છાત્રાલય બનાવ્યું હતું. મિત્રો જોડાતા 11 ભવનનો સંકલ્પ 351 સુધી પહોંચ્યો. અડધો ખર્ચ ટ્રસ્ટ આપે છે, છતાં ક્યાંય ટ્રસ્ટનું નામ નથી, ભવન દાતાના નામે બને છે. ટ્રસ્ટનું 50 સભ્યોનું કર્મયોગી ગ્રુપ છેવાડાના ગામોમાં સર્વે કરી ભવન બનાવી સ્થાનિક સંસ્થાને સોંપે છે.
