Nirma University in Ahmedabad has come under scrutiny following an alleged incident near the girls’ hostel that has sparked a protest by students.
According to reports, students residing in the H-4 girls’ hostel complained after a video allegedly showing an obscene act by a worker at the construction site of the new girls’ hostel surfaced.

Following a social media campaign, students observed a ‘Black Day’ on October 1, wearing black clothes and carrying placards across the campus. More than 1,000 students were reportedly involved in the protest.
