Husband-Wife Rescued After Being Stranded in Tree Amid Ruguda Dam Floodwaters Bonai, August 16 (Satya News Alert): A husband and wife had a narrow escape after being stranded in a tree when water from the Ruguda Dam suddenly inundated their area on Sunday morning. According to reports, the couple had gone to their farmland near their house to harvest pointed gourd. Suddenly, rising water from the Ruguda Dam flooded the area, cutting off their route back home. With no safe way to escape, both climbed onto a large banyan tree to save themselves. On receiving the information, the Gurundia Fire Services team and Bonai Fire Services team launched a joint rescue operation. Using a power boat, the firefighters reached the stranded couple and successfully rescued both of them to safety. The timely and coordinated rescue operation prevented a potentially dangerous situation from turning into a tragedy.
