Addressing the gathering, Prof. (Dr.) Amita Aggarwal, Executive Director, AIIMS Bibinagar, highlighted the significance of Independence Day and called upon everyone to uphold the values of dedication, integrity, discipline and service to the nation. She emphasised the vital role of healthcare institutions in contributing to the health and well-being of the nation and encouraged everyone to strive for excellence in patient care, education, research and community service.
The celebrations also featured patriotic and cultural programmes by students and staff, reflecting the spirit of unity, patriotism and national pride.

AIIMS Bibinagar celebrated World Breastfeeding Week 2026 from August 1–7 under the guidance of Executive Director Prof. (Dr.) Amita Aggarwal. The institute organized a range of awareness and educational activities, including poster and quiz competitions, lactation management workshops, essay and poetry competitions, video competitions, radio programmes, and community outreach initiatives to promote breastfeeding.
Addressing participants, Prof. Aggarwal emphasized that successful breastfeeding requires coordinated efforts from the Departments of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Neonatology, Paediatrics, Community Medicine & Family Medicine, the College of Nursing, and Nursing Officers. She highlighted the importance of continuous breastfeeding support from antenatal counselling through the postnatal period and after discharge.
The celebrations reinforced the need to create awareness among families, communities, healthcare workers, and students, while strengthening AIIMS Bibinagar’s commitment to promoting, protecting, and supporting breastfeeding.
The Department of Pediatrics at AIIMS Bibinagar celebrated ORS Day on 29th July, 2026 to raise awareness about diarrhea management. The event focused on educating both parents and children about the critical role of Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS) in preventing dehydration. Through interactive sessions in the outpatient,  inpatient departments and pediatric intensive care unit, the doctors and nursing officers demonstrated the correct method of preparing and administering ORS. Parents learned to recognize early signs of dehydration and understood when to seek medical help. Everyone participated in engaging activities that emphasized hygiene practices like handwashing. This successful initiative empowered families with practical knowledge, highlighting ORS as a simple, cost-effective, and life-saving intervention against childhood diarrhea.

A Proud Moment for CCMBIY–CCRYN, AIIMS Bibinagar

We were deeply honored to welcome the Hon'ble Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda ji ,Government of India, during his visit to AIIMS Bibinagar on 9th July 2026.

As part of the visit, the Hon'ble Minister visited the Collaborative Centre for Mind-Body Medicine CCMBIY -Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy CCRYN and appreciated the department's efforts in promoting evidence-based Yoga and Mind-Body Medicine. He conveyed his best wishes to the entire team and emphasized the importance of systematic documentation of patient outcomes, clinical records, and research activities to further strengthen scientific evidence and quality healthcare.

This encouraging interaction inspires us to continue our commitment to delivering holistic, patient-centered care while advancing research in Yoga and Mind-Body Medicine.

Department of ENT and the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) of the Department of Community Medicine & Family Medicine, AIIMS Bibinagar conducted a Free Health Camp at Moripirala, Atmakur, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District.

The College of Nursing, AIIMS Bibinagar, successfully organized a three-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) from 8–10 July 2026 on the theme "Innovative Teaching, Assessment & Evaluation” and “Qualitative Research". The programme brought together faculty members,Senior Nursing Officers and Nursing Officers to enhance their competencies in contemporary teaching-learning strategies, assessment and evaluation practices, and qualitative research methodologies. The FDP was organized under the guidance of Prof.Dr.Amita Aggarwal, Executive Director, AIIMS Bibinagar, and Prof. (Dr.) Latha T, Principal, College of Nursing, Chief Nursing Officer, AIIMS Bibinagar. The programme was accredited with 10 credit hours by the Telangana Nurses and Midwives Council. Prof.Rafath Razia, Dean (Academics), Anurag University graced the occasion as the observer from the Telangana Nursing Council. Eminent experts from various academic departments of AIIMS Bibinagar conducted interactive sessions on principles of assessment and evaluation, blueprint preparation, active clinical learning, structured practical assessment, artificial intelligence in academics, gamification, innovative teaching methodologies, and qualitative research. The programme included hands-on training sessions that promoted evidence-based educational practices and strengthened participants' teaching and research competencies. A total of 30 delegates successfully completed the workshop and highly appreciated its practical, interactive approach and its significant contribution towards advancing excellence in nursing education and research.The programme was coordinated by Mr.Azhar S. M., Assistant Professor, College of Nursing, AIIMS Bibinagar, along with the organizing team comprising Mr. Guru P., Tutor; Mrs. Maggie Peter, Tutor; and Mrs.Lakshasarah, Tutor, College of Nursing, AIIMS Bibinagar, whose dedicated efforts ensured the successful conduct of the workshop.

AIIMS Bibinagar Celebrates 12th International Day of Yoga

AIIMS Bibinagar, through the CCMBIY–CCRYN team, celebrated the 12th International Day of Yoga 2026 with the theme "Yoga for Healthy Ageing." A week-long series of activities was organized, including radio talks on Garbhsanskar, Bala Yoga, Vriddha Yoga, Chakra Meditation, and the history of Yoga and International Day of Yoga.

Special programs such as Garbhsanskar for pregnant women, Bala Yoga for school children, and Vriddha Yoga for geriatric patients were conducted to promote yoga across all age groups. Essay writing, poetry, and painting competitions were also organized to create awareness about yoga. A special community outreach program for Adolescents in a residential school was taken up to instil the essence of Yoga.

Dr. Vinaya, Naturopath and CMO of Suprada  wellness,Bangalore joined us as the Chief Guest and conducted a Musical Therapy session thereby inculcating the therapeutic benefits of music in promoting mental well-being and holistic health.

June 21 was celebrated with a Mass Common Yoga Protocol, experiencing the nationwide virtual address by Honourable PM Shri Narendra Modi, power packed Yogic performances by the students followed by Satvik Refreshments.
The program was conducted well under the guidance of Dr. Amita Aggarwal, Executive Director and CEO, AIIMS Bibinagar, by the Team CCMBIY (Nodal Officer - Dr. Rohini Motwani, Addl. Nodal Officer Dr. Meely Panda, Yoga Specialists: Drs. The College of Nursing, AIIMS Bibinagar, in collaboration with National Neonatology Forum India, Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India, and the Government of India, conducted a Basic Neonatal Resuscitation Workshop on 10th May 2026 as part of the National NRP Day celebrations. The workshop was organized to strengthen neonatal resuscitation skills among healthcare professionals and was attended by 55 nurses from various hospitals across Telangana. This nationwide initiative by NNF India aims to improve newborn survival through large-scale, hands-on resuscitation training programs across the country.
The workshop was coordinated by Dr. S.K. Mohanasundari and Mrs. Era Deepika Dayal. Faculty facilitators included Dr. S. Thanigainathan, Dr. Gurrarsh Singh, and Dr. B.V.P. Divya. The sessions focused on preparation for birth, routine newborn care, initial steps of resuscitation, and bag-and-mask ventilation through simulation-based skill stations and hands-on demonstrations. The program concluded successfully with positive feedback from participants, who appreciated the practical and interactive nature of the training.

*Union Minister Shri G. Kishan Reddy Visits AIIMS Bibinagar on the Occasion of Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Campaign*

Bibinagar, Telangana: Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Hon’ble Union Minister, visited All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bibinagar, on the occasion of the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign. During his visit, he encouraged the faculty members, nursing officers, staff, and students of AIIMS Bibinagar to actively participate in environmental conservation initiatives and reaffirmed the importance of collective responsibility towards protecting nature.
As part of the campaign, Shri G. Kishan Reddy planted a sapling in the AIIMS Bibinagar campus, symbolising the institution’s commitment towards sustainability, green practices, and environmental stewardship.
The Hon’ble Minister also reviewed the progress of the ongoing infrastructure and development works at AIIMS Bibinagar. He interacted with the senior administration and took an update on the institutional growth, academic activities, healthcare services, and future plans of the institute.
The visit highlighted the significance of integrating environmental responsibility with healthcare and education, inspiring the AIIMS Bibinagar community to continue contributing towards a greener and healthier future.

Innovation is transforming TB care!

ICMR’s drone-enabled transport of TB samples is improving access to timely diagnosis, particularly in remote and hard-to-reach areas.

The initiative reduced diagnosis time from 15 days to just 5 days, while average patient costs fell from ₹9,451 to ₹91, making TB diagnosis faster, more affordable, and more accessible.

On the occasion of International Nurses Day, a Blood Donation Camp was conducted in collaboration with the Red Cross society, Hyderabad.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Senior Nursing Officers, Nursing Officers, students, other employees, & members of the public. Demonstrating their commitment beyond nursing care, AIIMS, Bibinagar Nursing Officers actively participated in blood donation & motivated others to contribute to this noble cause.
Prof. Amita Aggarwal, Executive Director, Dr.Latha.T, Chief Nursing Officer, Dr.Kuldeep GB, MS & Rajneesh Mishra, DDA appreciated the efforts & participation of all donors & organizers.
A total of 42 blood donations were successfully collected during the camp.
The blood donation camp was organized by Mr. Gurram Ram Reddy, SNO AIIMS Bibinagar.
The program reflected the spirit of service, compassion, & social responsibility on the occasion of International Nurses Day.

A Proud Moment for CCMBIY–CCRYN, AIIMS Bibinagar

We were deeply honored to welcome the Hon'ble Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda ji ,Government of India, during his visit to AIIMS Bibinagar on 9th July 2026.

As part of the visit, the Hon'ble Minister visited the Collaborative Centre for Mind-Body Medicine CCMBIY -Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy CCRYN and appreciated the department's efforts in promoting evidence-based Yoga and Mind-Body Medicine. He conveyed his best wishes to the entire team and emphasized the importance of systematic documentation of patient outcomes, clinical records, and research activities to further strengthen scientific evidence and quality healthcare.

AIIMS Bibinagar Celebrates 12th International Day of Yoga

AIIMS Bibinagar, through the CCMBIY–CCRYN team, celebrated the 12th International Day of Yoga 2026 with the theme "Yoga for Healthy Ageing." A week-long series of activities was organized, including radio talks on Garbhsanskar, Bala Yoga, Vriddha Yoga, Chakra Meditation, and the history of Yoga and International Day of Yoga.

Special programs such as Garbhsanskar for pregnant women, Bala Yoga for school children, and Vriddha Yoga for geriatric patients were conducted to promote yoga across all age groups. Essay writing, poetry, and painting competitions were also organized to create awareness about yoga. A special community outreach program for Adolescents in a residential school was taken up to instil the essence of Yoga.

Dr. Vinaya, Naturopath and CMO of Suprada  wellness,Bangalore joined us as the Chief Guest and conducted a Musical Therapy session thereby inculcating the therapeutic benefits of music in promoting mental well-being and holistic health.

June 21 was celebrated with a Mass Common Yoga Protocol, experiencing the nationwide virtual address by Honourable PM Shri Narendra Modi, power packed Yogic performances by the students followed by Satvik Refreshments.
The program was conducted well under the guidance of Dr. Amita Aggarwal, Executive Director and CEO, AIIMS Bibinagar, by the Team CCMBIY (Nodal Officer - Dr. Rohini Motwani, Addl. Nodal Officer Dr. Meely Panda, Yoga Specialists: Drs. Jayshree, Sumanth,Sindhu and Minisha) chaired by Dean Research Prof. Dr. Rahul Narang and Co chaired by Assoc Dean Research Dr. Govindrao, and with enthusiastic participation from faculty, students, staff, and the community.

*Union Minister Shri G. Kishan Reddy Visits AIIMS Bibinagar on the Occasion of Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Campaign*

Bibinagar, Telangana: Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Hon’ble Union Minister, visited All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bibinagar, on the occasion of the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign. During his visit, he encouraged the faculty members, nursing officers, staff, and students of AIIMS Bibinagar to actively participate in environmental conservation initiatives and reaffirmed the importance of collective responsibility towards protecting nature.
As part of the campaign, Shri G. Kishan Reddy planted a sapling in the AIIMS Bibinagar campus, symbolising the institution’s commitment towards sustainability, green practices, and environmental stewardship.
The Hon’ble Minister also reviewed the progress of the ongoing infrastructure and development works at AIIMS Bibinagar. He interacted with the senior administration and took an update on the institutional growth, academic activities, healthcare services, and future plans of the institute.
The visit highlighted the significance of integrating environmental responsibility with healthcare and education, inspiring the AIIMS Bibinagar community to continue contributing towards a greener and healthier future.
