🐍✨ Ujjain’s Temple That Opens Just Once a Year
At the top of Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, the sacred Nagchandreshwar Temple opens its doors to devotees for just one day every year — on Nag Panchami.
The temple houses a rare 11th-century idol of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati beneath a seven-hooded serpent, making the annual darshan truly extraordinary.
This year, Nag Panchami falls on August 17, coinciding with the third Monday of Sawan—bringing together Nagchandreshwar Darshan and Baba Mahakal’s Sawari on the same day. 🙏
One temple. One day. A centuries-old tradition.
