A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM) and the Unani Drugs Manufacturers Association (UDMA), New Delhi, on 30 September 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Committee Room, CCRUM Headquarters, New Delhi.
The ceremony commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Younis I. Munshi, Deputy Director General, CCRUM. The introductory remarks were delivered by Dr. N. Zaheer Ahmed, Director General, CCRUM. In his address, Dr. N. Zaheer Ahmed highlighted the significance of the collaboration between CCRUM and UDMA and briefed the gathering on the collaborative initiatives proposed under the MoU, particularly in the area of commercialization of Unani products through NRDC.
The UDMA delegation comprised Dr. Mohsin Delvi, Head, Advisory Board; Mr. Nabeel Anwar, General Secretary; Mr. Mohd. Jalees, Joint Secretary; and Dr. Matiullah Majeed, Vice President. The delegation interacted with the officials of CCRUM and expressed their commitment to strengthening cooperation for the development, promotion, and commercialization of Unani products.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Nighat Anjum, Research Officer (U), CCRUM Headquarters, New Delhi.
The MoU signing ceremony thus marked a significant milestone in fostering collaboration between CCRUM and the Unani pharmaceutical industry, with a shared objective of promoting innovation, research translation, and the commercialization of Unani products.
