One protest, two sides- and the media caught in both
On one side, protesters attacked media persons, allegedly branding them as “Godi Media” - an act that is deeply concerning and unacceptable.
On the other, journalists who went to the ground to cover the protests and report what was happening were detained by Delhi Police- raising serious concerns about press freedom and the role of the media as the fourth pillar of democracy.
In both instances, it was journalists who were affected.
The only question that remains is: Where are we heading?
