Road accident claims life of Shubham from Kadirabad; wedding was scheduled for November
A young man lost his life in a severe road accident near Naurangabad village in the Sakaldiha Kotwali area of Chandauli on Monday evening. Two others, including his sister, were critically injured in the crash. Chaos and screams of distress erupted at the scene following the accident. Upon receiving the information, the police arrived, took possession of the body, and sent it for a post-mortem examination, while the injured were admitted to a hospital.
Shubham Singh (24), a resident of Kadirabad village and son of Tribhuvan Singh, was returning home on a 'Bullet' motorcycle with his sister, Neha Singh (30), after withdrawing cash from a Jan Seva Kendra (public service center) in Naurangabad. Reports indicate that as they neared the village, their motorcycle collided head-on with another speeding bike coming from the direction of Sakaldiha.
The impact was so severe that the riders of both motorcycles were thrown onto the road and sustained serious injuries. Villagers present nearby immediately rushed the injured to a private hospital in Kamalpur. There, doctors declared Shubham Singh dead.
His sister, Neha Singh, suffered a leg fracture in the accident. Abhishek (30), son of Shripratap and a resident of Mirzapur village under the Dhanapur police station area—who was riding the other motorcycle—also sustained critical injuries. Both injured individuals are currently undergoing treatment at the private hospital.
Upon receiving news of the accident, Sakaldiha Station House Officer (SHO) Bhupendra Kumar Nishad arrived at the scene with a police team. The police took custody of the body, sent it to the district hospital for a post-mortem, and initiated further legal proceedings in the matter.
Mourning engulfed the family upon hearing the news of the young man's death. The deceased's father (Tribhuvan Singh), mother (Asha Singh), sister (Ruchi), and younger brother (Shivam) are inconsolable.
